MicrophoneDo you desire to increase your management potential, extend your influence, motivate and persuade others or gain recognition?

Success in business and in life depends in large part on communication and leadership. Toastmasters is a non-profit education organization which enables you to advance these competencies through time-tested and self–paced programs. You will learn to speak effectively, conduct meetings, manage a team and lead others, all in a supportive environment.

Parliament Hill Toastmasters meets in downtown Ottawa, in St. John's Anglican Church at 154 Somerset St. (at Elgin). Guests are always welcome. Summer Break

After a successful 2008/2009 season, the members of Parliamant Hill Toastmasters are taking  a well deserved break. We had a great year, with lots of speeches, some CCs obtained and progress made towards many members CCs and ACs. We also sent members to the Division finals for the Humourous Speaking, Table Topics and International Speech contest. We can all pat ourselves on the back!

Have a good summer. We meet again in August.

PHTM now meeting at St. John's Anglican Church

Parliament Hill Toastmaster Club has found a new home in the Anglican Church of St John the Evangelist, located at 154 Somerset Street W (at the corner of Somerset and Elgin — click for a map). Our first meeting at this location will take place on December 4th, starting at 6:30 pm. To get to the meeting room, enter through the rear door facing Somerset.

It's been a long and interesting experience trying out different locations in downtown Ottawa these past few months. A big thank you to everybody who helped us find a new home!
