Because of renovations at the Ottawa Public Library, our next 3 meetings will be held at 222 Queen Street, 6th floor. This is located at Queen and Bank, above the CIBC. Signs will be posted on the 6th floor to help you find your way to the room. On May 13th, meetings will resume in our regular room in the Ottawa Public Library. Thanks very much to Joan for finding us this temporary location. |

Congratulations to Dave for sweeping the Area 34 International Speech and Table Topics contest! Dave placed 1st in both categories. Next stop for Dave is the the Division D competition, which takes place Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at the CMHC building, 700 Montreal Road. Staring time is 5:40 PM. We encourage all PHTM members to show up. Not only to cheer Dave on, but to hear some great speeches from Toastmasters around the city. |

On Thursday, February 11, Parliament Hill Toastmasters will be holding its annual Internation Speech and Table Topics contest. There is an excellent line-up of contestants, so it promises to be a competitive and entertaining evening. All members are encouraged to attend and cheer on the contestants! |

On Thursday, February 8th, Dave completed his final speech to earn his Advanced Communicator Bronze. With participation from Victor, Kwasi and Maurice, Dave presented project #5 from the Technical Presentations manual —The Team Technical Presentation. The title of the presentation was Intellectual Property in the Digital Age. Way to go Dave! |
