After a successful 2008/2009 season, the members of Parliamant Hill Toastmasters are taking a well deserved break. We had a great year, with lots of speeches, some CCs obtained and progress made towards many members CCs and ACs. We also sent members to the Division finals for the Humourous Speaking, Table Topics and International Speech contest. We can all pat ourselves on the back! Have a good summer. We meet again in August. |

 Parliament Hill Toastmasters is pleased and honoured to be hosting a special guest at our June 18th meeting —none other than Sue Dalati, DTM, who is past District 61 Governor and next in line to be the International Director of Toastmasters!
Sue will be visiting in order to induct the new Parliament Hill Toastmasters executive team, and to give one of her stirring educational speeches. We also have a full slate of speeches from our club members, so prepare yourself for a great meeting! |

 Parliament Hill Toastmasters will be holding a special open house meeting on Thursday, June 4th. If you have always wanted to check out what a Toastmasters club is all about, this would be the perfect night.  On 30 May 2009, Parliament Hill Toastmasters will celebrate their 25th Anniversary at a reception at 7:00 pm at the Nepean Sailing Club, 3259 Carling Ave. The evening will be a joint celebration with Luncheon Troupers and Ottawa Hospital as they all chartered on 30 May 1984. Find out the answers to these questions and more at Parliament Hill Toastmasters, on April 16 at 6:30 pm. We will be having as a guest speaker none other than Frank Schilder, DTM and current District 61 Governor. Frank will be talking to us about something which, as Governor of District 61, he knows a lot about: LEADERSHIP. |
