Parliament Hill Toastmasters will be holding a special open house meeting on Thursday, January 29th. If you have always wanted to check out what a Toastmasters club is all about, this would be the perfect night.

There will be speeches and refreshments, and we will also recognize the special achievements of some of our members.

Members of Parliament Hill Toastmasters are reminded to bring a guest. You can also download the open house poster [PDF] and post it in your work place or local community bulleting board.

The first Parliament Hill Toastmasters meeting of 2009 will be on Thursday, January 8th, at 6:30 pm at St. John's Anglican Church. We are looking forward to seeing everybody and getting the new year off to a great start!

Since it is likely that the buses will still not be running, please email around if you need a ride to or from the meeting.

Parliament Hill Toastmaster Club has found a new home in the Anglican Church of St John the Evangelist, located at 154 Somerset Street W (at the corner of Somerset and Elgin — click for a map). Our first meeting at this location will take place on December 4th, starting at 6:30 pm. To get to the meeting room, enter through the rear door facing Somerset.

It's been a long and interesting experience trying out different locations in downtown Ottawa these past few months. A big thank you to everybody who helped us find a new home!
