Congratulations to Dave, for winning the Area 20 Humourous Speech contest. It was a very close race, as there were 3 other extremely funny speeches competing for the top prize. The crowd was highly entertained.

The Table Topics portion of the contest was also entertaining. Unfortunately our club winner, Kwasi, has to withdraw as he has lost his voice to a throat infection. Anima stepped into his place and handled the unusual question "Why do they nail the lid of a coffin shut when there is no live body inside" very well. In the end, though, it was was Brigitte from the University of Ottawa club who was the winner.

Dave goes on to compete in the Division C competition at the CMHC building (700 Montreal Road) on Wednesday, October 24th. The contest starts at 6:30 pm. Note that there is a $5 cover charge for the Division C contest, to cover the cost of food and drinks.
